The mobile evolution

Technological changes are far easier to spot in certain parts of our lives than in others. Mobile phones, for example, have come a long way over the past 20 years. From bricks, to bananas (Nokia, that is), tiny to tablet-sized, we’ve all noticed their evolution.

However, the infrastructure behind the phones is another story. Considering what mobile technology has enabled, there has not been a huge amount of change in the “nuts and bolts”.

Smaller slimmer masts were introduced to overcome town planning constraints but have since grown to accommodate sharing and additional technologies. The conundrum now is how to deliver 5G while ensuring mast sizes are acceptable to the communities they serve.

As 5G rolls out, we’ll all need more radio points for our phones to connect to, especially wherever people live, work and play. We have relationships and expertise built up over 20 years to deliver you the right sites and structures for your needs.
